Use cases

Video feedback for players, in your own voice.

Pause on the play, point at what you mean and talk it through. Your player gets the exact moment and your explanation, and can watch it again before training.

In Enlyo, video feedback is a review: a recording of you talking over the footage, with your camera and microphone, pointing at the play with a laser pointer. You start it from any page, it plays back the moment you stop, and you share it like a clip: with one player, the squad or a link.

The job

You explained it after the match. By Thursday it’s gone.

His position on the second goal. A press that started a beat too late. You know what you want to say, and you know a word on the training pitch won’t stick. Written notes don’t show the play. A clip without words doesn’t say what to look for.

What works is the play itself, paused, with you pointing at it and saying why. Recorded once, so the player can watch it on the bus, again on Thursday and once more before the next match.

Recording a review: the play paused and the run traced with the laser pointer.

In Enlyo

How to record video feedback in Enlyo

Five steps, from the match on your screen to the review on your player’s phone.

  1. 01

    Open the play

Open the match, a clip or a summary and find the moment. Every camera angle is a number key away, so you can show it from the side and from behind the goal.

  2. 02

    Press record

The record button sits in the top bar on every page, and Alt+R does the same. The first time you pick a camera and a microphone; after that one click starts the countdown. In the browser you share a tab, a window or the whole screen. The desktop app records the Enlyo window itself.

  3. 03

    Talk it through and point

Play, pause, go back and explain. The laser pointer draws a stroke that fades, so you can trace a run without leaving marks on the footage. You can switch tab or window mid-recording without ending the review.

  4. 04

    Stop and watch it back

Stop from the same button, the shortcut or the browser’s stop-sharing bar. The title is already the date and time; pick a channel and folder. The review opens straight away and plays from your computer while it uploads. If Enlyo closes mid-recording, it asks next time whether to keep what you recorded.

  5. 05

    Send it

Share the review like any clip: by email to one player, in the team channel, or as a link anyone can open without an account.

On their side

What your player sees.

The review opens like any clip: the footage you talked over, your voice and your camera in the corner. Nothing to download. Sent as a link, it plays on their phone without an account. Shared by email or in a team channel, they sign in with a free account and find it there, with a dot on what they haven’t opened yet.

Video feedback for players: questions

Do I need extra software to record video feedback?
No. Reviews record in the browser and in the Mac and Windows app, with the camera and microphone you already have. The record button is in the top bar on every page.
Can one review cover several clips or matches?
Yes. A review records your screen, not one video, so you can open another clip or match mid-recording and keep talking. It doesn’t link back to the footage it was recorded over.
Does the laser pointer stay on the video?
No. It draws a stroke that fades as you talk. It shows in the review because the review records your screen; the footage itself stays as it was.
Is video feedback on the free plan?
Yes. Reviews are on every plan, Free included. Plans differ only in storage and playback limits, and players watch free.
