Field hockey review
Penalty corners, circle entries and the press. What hockey coaches go back to.
Hockey matches turn on what happens in and around the circle. These are the moments hockey coaches watch again, and where the buttons, clips and reviews come in.
Attacking penalty corners
Penalty corner for is on A. Shorten its window if you only want the injection, the trap and the shot. Write the variation you called in the bookmark’s note, then put each variation in its own summary for the injector, the stopper and the flicker.
Defending penalty corners
Shift+A marks the corners you concede. Cut them into clips and file them in a folder in the squad channel before you meet that opponent again, so the runners and the keeper see the routine they will face.
Circle entries that came to nothing
Circle entry marks each time a side gets the ball into the circle. Line up the entries that ended without a shot in one summary and the forwards’ question answers itself: where did the ball come from, and who was free at the far post?
The press and the outlet
Add a button for your press and one for the opponent’s outlet from the back. Pause where the press was broken, point at the free player with the laser pointer and record what the midfield should have closed.
From match to squad
From the final whistle to your squad’s phones.
A Sunday league match, from the dugout to Tuesday’s training.

Upload the match
From the halfway line on a tripod or from behind the goal on a phone: upload both, and the second recording plays as angle 2.
- 02
Tag it in one watch
Press C for your circle entry, Shift+A for their penalty corner. Nothing pauses, and the bookmarks list fills as the match runs.
- 03
Cut clips and a summary
Put every penalty corner against into one summary for your defenders and keeper. Trim each one to the routine and pick its angle.
- 04
Record the review
Pause on the turnover in midfield, point at the free player and say what you’d do. Your camera picks you up in the corner of the recording.
- 05
Share it with the squad
Post it to the Ladies 1 channel, or send the right half her own link with the three entries she should see.
Freeze the injection, mark the runner who was late off the line and say what she should see. The pointer stroke fades, and the review goes out like any clip. More on recorded reviews
Sharing
A channel per squad. The staff room stays private.
A hockey club can run a dozen teams or more, from the first ladies to the youngest juniors. One channel per team keeps each squad to its own matches. Invite by email or send a join link.

The first team’s matches, penalty corner clips and reviews, open on every player’s phone.
U16 Boys
A channel per squad, so each team sees its own matches and nothing else.

Coaches only. Scouting and set-piece plans stay out of the players’ view.

Does it work for indoor hockey too?
Yes. Pick indoor hockey when you sign up and you start with the field hockey buttons: goal, shot, circle entry and penalty corner, each for and against. Rename them, change their keys or add your own whenever you like.
Can I keep every penalty corner routine together?
Yes, in a clip folder. Cut each penalty corner into a clip and file it in a folder such as “PC attack” in the squad’s channel. Clips from every match can go into the same folder, so the routines add up over the season.
Can I watch penalty corners from behind the goal?
Yes, with a second recording from there. Add it to the match as an angle and switch with 1 and 2. The view from behind the goal shows the injection and the runners’ lines that the halfway camera flattens.
Can I slow down a drag flick?
Yes. Slow playback with <, step frame by frame with , and . and zoom in on the circle with Shift and +. Useful for the stopper’s trap and the flicker’s feet.
Our club has dozens of teams. Does every team need its own plan?
No. One workspace holds the whole club, with a channel per team and any number of coaches. Paid plans add storage for the workspace, from €9 a month, and players always watch free.
