Nacsport alternatives (2026): 5 tools, prices and Mac support

Updated 7 November 2026 · Prices, Mac requirements and free plans of Nacsport, Sportscode, Dartfish, LongoMatch and Kinovea checked

The main Nacsport alternatives are Hudl Sportscode, Dartfish, LongoMatch, Kinovea (free) and Enlyo (that's us). Sportscode goes deeper, on a Mac. Dartfish and Kinovea measure technique. LongoMatch is a desktop tagger in Nacsport's mould. Enlyo keeps the match online: any coach tags it in one watch in a browser, and the squad sees the plays, with your voice over them, before the next training. Each tool below says where it beats the others, Nacsport included, and prices are compared further down. For the head-to-head, see Enlyo vs Nacsport.

Which Nacsport alternative fits you?

  • Moving up to a professional analysis department on Mac, with scripting: Hudl Sportscode.
  • Measuring and comparing technique, not coding matches: Dartfish.
  • A club staff without an analyst, where any coach tags in a browser and players see the key moments, with your explanation, before training: Enlyo.
  • A lower-priced desktop tagger with live capture, drawing and monthly billing: LongoMatch.
  • Free, for one coach studying technique on a Windows PC: Kinovea.
  • Statistics, live capture on match day, or working offline: stay with Nacsport, or see Sportscode, Dartfish or LongoMatch.

Using Nacsport? You set up a tagging window first, every computer that tags needs its own licence, and recording the screen as you talk over the footage is Elite only. In Enlyo, your sport's buttons are ready at sign-up, each press keeps the 15 seconds before it, and any coach can record their voice over a play, in every plan.

Why coaches look for a Nacsport alternative

Nacsport is deep, built for an analyst who codes every match. The reasons coaches leave:

  • Built for an analyst: you build your own tagging windows (Nacsport offers templates to download); directory FitGap says it rewards clubs that invest in an analyst.
  • Talking over the footage: screen and audio capture in presentations is Elite only; Basic+ adds audio notes to clips, on Windows.
  • A licence per computer: £125 to £1,845 a year, excluding VAT, for each computer that tags at the same time.
  • Sharing costs extra: Nacsport Hub, from £400 a year (about €480) for 40 GB and 50 users.
  • The computer it asks for: an NVIDIA PC or an M1 Mac (details).
  • Features by edition, no free edition: descriptors and XML export from Basic+, a second angle from Scout; a 30-day trial; yearly or lifetime billing, no monthly option found.

Hudl Sportscode

  • Made by: Hudl (Agile Sports Technologies, Inc., USA)
  • Most like Nacsport in: custom code windows, live capture, statistics and several analysts on one match
  • Typical users: professional and elite performance analysts (Hudl Elite)
  • Price: not published; demo and quote on request

Using Sportscode? Coding happens in the Mac app, on macOS Sequoia 15 or newer, so a coach on a Windows laptop can watch on Hudl.com but not code. In Enlyo, the match lives online: every coach opens it in a browser, Windows or Mac, and tags it there.

What is Hudl Sportscode?

Sportscode is Hudl's desktop analysis software for macOS, in five editions from Gamebreaker to Elite. Analysts build their own code windows, code live or afterwards, and send playlists to players through Hudl. It's the closest like-for-like move from Nacsport: a step up in depth, not down in price.

Key features

  • Fully customisable code windows, scripted from Pro Review; an AI chat helps write scripts since version 12.87.
  • A statistics matrix and drawing on playlists from Pro Review; charts from Elite Review; Studio telestration with Elite.
  • Live capture from local devices, and IP cameras from Pro; Review editions can't capture.
  • Collaborative Coding and Live Share in Elite: several analysts code one match live.
  • XML and CSV import and export in every edition; Hudl Coda codes live on an iPad.

Why do analysts use Hudl Sportscode?

For depth and the Hudl ecosystem: scripted buttons, timelines and outputs, with Coda on the iPad, Replay on the bench and Hudl.com for the squad.

Bottom line

Sportscode, clearly, for a professional analysis department on Mac that scripts its coding inside Hudl. For a club where every coach tags on whatever computer they have, it asks more than the job needs.

Dartfish

  • Made by: Dartfish (Fribourg, Switzerland)
  • Most like Nacsport in: tagging panels, statistics, live capture and several synced angles
  • Typical users: federations, clubs and coaches in football, tennis, athletics, swimming, ice hockey and more, and physical therapists
  • Price: €20, €80 or €180 a month per user, billed yearly (360, Live S, Pro S); Mobile, for the app, from €7 a month

Using Dartfish for match video? The analysis software runs on a Windows 11 PC with a named-user licence for each coach who tags, and clips reach players only once you upload them to dartfish.tv. In Enlyo, sharing isn't a separate upload: move a clip into the squad's channel and every player gets a notification and an email, with a dot on what they haven't opened.

What is Dartfish?

Dartfish does game analysis and motion analysis of an athlete's technique. The analysis software runs on Windows, the myDartfish Express app on phones, tablets and Apple-silicon Macs, and dartfish.tv shares video online.

Key features

  • Technique tools: angle and time measurement, and SimulCam (two performances overlaid), StroMotion (a motion sequence) and 3D analysis in Pro S.
  • Tagging panels, predefined or your own, with keywords, properties and a zone tool for the field.
  • Live capture from capture devices and IP cameras from Live S, with up to four synced angles.
  • Statistics, graphs, compiled reports and Power BI reports.
  • dartfish.tv channels and Smart Cloud links anyone can open, with 50 GB of cloud storage per plan.

Why do coaches use Dartfish?

For technique: a tennis serve or a swim start measured, overlaid and slowed down in ways match-tagging tools don't offer. Dartfish says over 120,000 professionals use it.

Bottom line

Dartfish, for coaches and federations who measure technique, and for live analysis on Windows. For a team staff working on match video, it's built around technique tools they may not need.

Enlyo (that's us)

  • Made by: Enlyo B.V. (the Netherlands)
  • Most like Nacsport in: tagging with buttons and keys, clips, summaries, synced camera angles, Nacsport XML in and out
  • Typical users: coaching staffs at clubs, from grassroots to the first team, who tag and share without an analyst
  • Price: Free (10 GB), Starter €90, Plus €290, Pro €490 a year, including VAT, for the whole club; monthly from €9

What is Enlyo?

Enlyo is online video analysis software for coaching staffs: nothing to install, and it opens in any browser. Film the match, and by the next training every player has seen the moments that matter, with your explanation. Nothing to build, export or send.

Key features

  • Online first. Upload the match once and open it in any browser, on any computer. Nothing to install or activate, no files to pass around. You can start watching and tagging from the copy on your computer while the upload runs; the desktop app is optional.
  • Tagging in one watch. Pick your sport at sign-up and its buttons are ready. One key per button. Each press keeps the 15 seconds before it, so a late reaction still catches the moment.
  • Several angles, kept simple. Add each camera's recording to the match. They play in sync; press 1, 2 or 3 to switch. Bookmarks and clips keep the angles; a summary takes each segment from the angle you pick. Every plan.
  • From ninety minutes to four. Click bookmarks onto a timeline, drag them into order, trim each one against a filmstrip and pick its angle. Watch the preview, then create one video.
  • Reviews in your own voice. Pause on the play, press record, talk over it on webcam and point with the laser pointer. Stop, and it's ready to share like a clip.
  • Channels, straight to the player. One channel per squad and a staff room for scouting, each with its own roles. Move a clip or review into the squad's channel and every player gets a notification and an email; a dot marks what they haven't opened. A link opens on any phone without an account.
A squad's channel: its own folders, matches, clips and reviews.

Enlyo facts come from our product documentation.

Where another tool fits better, its section says so; When Nacsport is still the better choice lists what Enlyo doesn't do.

Why do coaches use Enlyo?

Analysis you can finish on a weeknight, by whoever coaches the team. A football Sunday evening looks like this:

  1. Drop Saturday's match in and start watching while it uploads.
  2. Press G for a goal, S for a shot, Shift + S for one against. The video keeps running.
  3. Click the moments you want onto the summary timeline, watch the preview, create it.
  4. Pause on the second goal, press record and talk it through.
  5. Move both into the first team's channel. The squad gets a notification and an email.

Videos, clips, reviews and summaries all open in the same player, with the same controls. See all features.

The summary editor: the match's bookmarks, a preview, and the segments on a timeline.

Bottom line

Enlyo, for a staff that wants the match online, tagged in one watch, and in front of every player with your explanation before the next training.

LongoMatch

  • Made by: Fluendo VAS S.L. (Spain)
  • Most like Nacsport in: desktop tagging with dashboards, a licence per computer, live capture, drawing and feature plans
  • Typical users: coaches and analysts, amateur to professional, in over 20 sports
  • Price: Basic free (capped); Starter €150 a year or €15 a month; Pro €550 a year or €55 a month

Using LongoMatch? A licence is tied to one computer, the footage sits on it, and players get exported video files: Longocloud is Pro only, and there's no mobile app. In Enlyo, you send a link, not a file: it opens on any phone, with no account and no app, and players never pay.

What is LongoMatch?

LongoMatch is desktop video analysis software for Windows and macOS. Open source since 2008, it has sold paid licences since 2016. AlternativeTo lists it as discontinued, but it's still sold; LongoMatch 2.0 came out in January 2025.

Key features

  • Tagging live or afterwards with custom dashboards (one on Basic, any number from Starter), with players and pitch zones per event.
  • Drawing tools in every plan; angles, measurements, spotlight and linked players from Starter.
  • Webcam capture in every plan; HDMI capture devices, IP cameras and up to four angles in Pro.
  • Statistics by pitch area and player, with Excel export in Pro.
  • Sportscode XML import and export, and Longocloud, in Pro.

Why do coaches use LongoMatch?

For Nacsport-style desktop tagging at a lower price, monthly if you like. LongoMatch calls itself "professional tools made simple and affordable".

Bottom line

LongoMatch, for a desktop tagger with live capture, drawings and player stats for less than most Nacsport editions. For sharing with a squad, it leaves you sending files unless you pay for Pro.

Kinovea

  • Made by: Joan Charmant and community contributors (open source)
  • Most like Nacsport in: slow motion, drawing on the picture and live capture; it doesn't tag matches
  • Typical users: coaches, sports scientists, clinicians and researchers studying one athlete's technique
  • Price: free, for personal, academic or commercial use, with no registration

Using Kinovea for your team? It's built for one coach studying technique on a Windows PC, with no tagging buttons and nothing shared, so you cut and send files yourself. In Enlyo, you tag the match with your sport's buttons, click the moments onto a timeline, and ninety minutes become one four-minute video for the squad.

What is Kinovea?

Kinovea is a free, open-source Windows program for analysing movement, developed since 2004 on donations. It's the most-liked Nacsport alternative on AlternativeTo, but it does a different job: technique, not match analysis.

Key features

  • Distance, angle and stopwatch tools on a calibrated grid, with lens correction.
  • Two videos side by side or overlaid, synced on a chosen moment, even at different frame rates.
  • Frame-by-frame and slow motion, with real times for high-speed footage.
  • Drawing tools, kept in an editable file or burned into exported video.
  • Capture from webcams, USB, IP and machine-vision cameras, with a delay.

Why do coaches use Kinovea?

Free and precise: measuring a joint angle or overlaying two attempts costs nothing, offline, with no account.

Bottom line

Kinovea, for one coach measuring technique on a Windows PC, for free. It isn't built for tagging matches and sharing clips.

Nacsport alternatives by price

What each tool costs to start, per year, checked 6 and 7 November 2026. Nacsport first, then alphabetical.

Nacsport prices are from UK reseller AnalysisPro, converted by us at the ECB rate of 6 November 2026 (€1 = £0.83415); Nacsport's own German price list (€135 for Basic, Hub from €400 a year) doesn't state VAT. The others are from each vendor's site, Enlyo's from our pricing page.

What three coaches who tag pay a year

Three coaches, each tagging on their own computer, 50 matches a season, shared with the squad. Nacsport first, then the taggers by price:

ToolPer yearHow players watch
Nacsportabout €450 (3 × Basic), or about €929 with Hub 40 GB (room for clips, not 50 full matches)Hub (50 users) or exported files
Enlyo€290 (Plus, 500 GB, about 125 matches)Channels and links, any number of players
LongoMatch€450 (3 × Starter); Pro (€550 a licence) adds LongocloudExported files; Longocloud on Pro (player access not documented)
Dartfish€720 (3 × 360)dartfish.tv, 50 GB with every plan
Hudl Sportscode3 licences, on quoteHudl.com, no published price
Kinovea€0, but it has no tagging buttons (it measures technique)Files you send yourself

Assumptions: up to 4 GB per match in Enlyo; one licence per coach tagging at the same time, at the entry edition that tags recorded video on a computer. Dartfish 360 tags recorded video only; tagging live needs Live S, €960 a year per coach. If only one analyst tags, per-computer tools need one licence. Nacsport totals are converted from pounds, excluding VAT.

Nacsport alternatives for Mac

Nacsport has run on Mac since June 2023, on Apple M1 or newer with macOS Sonoma or later. If that rules your Mac out, from widest Mac support to none:

  • Enlyo runs in any modern browser, with a desktop app for Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
  • LongoMatch runs on macOS 12 or later; M1 is recommended.
  • Hudl Sportscode runs only on a Mac, on macOS Sequoia 15 or newer.
  • Dartfish's analysis software doesn't run on a Mac, even in Boot Camp or Parallels; its Express app runs on Apple silicon.
  • Kinovea runs only on Windows, not even in Parallels on Apple silicon.

Moving your Nacsport tags

Nacsport exports XML from Basic+. Enlyo imports it: each tag becomes a bookmark with its code and note, and you see every code and its count before you confirm. Descriptors and code colours stay behind. Enlyo exports Nacsport XML too, so the analyst keeps coding in Nacsport while coaches and players use the same tags in Enlyo.

Nacsport says its XML opens in Sportscode, which imports XML in every edition. LongoMatch Pro and Dartfish (Pro S or TeamPro Data) import Sportscode XML, the same format Nacsport exports, but don't document Nacsport files specifically.

When Nacsport is still the better choice

Nacsport, clearly, if you need these. Enlyo doesn't do them; Sportscode, Dartfish and LongoMatch cover several too.

  • Statistics: dashboards in every edition, a data matrix from Basic+, heatmaps in Elite, and Nacsport AI reports from your tags from Scout.
  • Detail on every tag: descriptors from Basic+, pitch locations from Scout.
  • Match day: live capture from capture cards and IP cameras, and clips to the bench through the Nacsport Live app.
  • Drawings that stay on the clip: KlipDraw, in every edition. Enlyo's laser pointer fades.
  • Working offline, after the licence is activated.

Not ready to leave? Keep Nacsport for the analyst and Enlyo for the staff and squad, sharing tags through XML (Enlyo vs Nacsport).

How we compared

Facts come from vendors' websites, support pages and release notes (Nacsport prices from reseller AnalysisPro), and Enlyo's from our documentation; each table links its sources. We haven't tested the others hands-on and leave out what we couldn't confirm (other comparisons).

Frequently asked questions

What is the best alternative to Nacsport? It depends on why you're leaving: Hudl Sportscode for deeper coding on a Mac, Dartfish (or Kinovea, free) for technique, LongoMatch for a lower-priced desktop tagger, Enlyo for a staff that tags in the browser and gets the plays, with your voice over them, to every player's phone.

What software is like Nacsport? Hudl Sportscode and LongoMatch work most like Nacsport: desktop tagging with code windows or dashboards, live capture and statistics. Enlyo tags with buttons in the browser and shares with players in every plan; Dartfish and Kinovea are for technique.

How much does Nacsport cost? £125 (Basic), £240 (Basic+), £595 (Scout), £995 (Pro) or £1,845 (Elite) a year per computer, excluding VAT, per UK reseller AnalysisPro, checked 6 November 2026. Hub, to share online, costs from £400 a year. Full tables are on Enlyo vs Nacsport.

Is there a free alternative to Nacsport? Yes, three (more free tools): Kinovea (entirely free, for technique on Windows), LongoMatch Basic (no time limit, capped at 5 projects and 50 events per project, watermarked) and Enlyo's Free plan (10 GB, every feature, up to 720p, no time limit, no card). Nacsport has a 30-day trial, not a free edition.

What's a cheaper alternative to Nacsport? Nacsport Basic is £125 (about €150) a year per computer, plus Hub to share. LongoMatch Starter is €150 a year per computer, Enlyo Starter €90 a year per club workspace (Free costs nothing), and Kinovea is free.

Nacsport vs Sportscode: which is better? Sportscode, for a professional analysis department on Mac that scripts its coding and works inside Hudl. Nacsport, if you're on Windows or want a price before a demo: UK reseller AnalysisPro lists it from £125 a year per computer, excluding VAT. Both code matches in depth, with statistics, live capture and drawing; Hudl publishes no Sportscode prices (see Hudl Sportscode).

Does Nacsport run on a Mac? Yes, since June 2023, on an Apple M1 Mac or newer with macOS Sonoma or later; Nacsport lists no Intel Macs. Hudl Sportscode runs only on a Mac (macOS 15 or newer), LongoMatch on macOS 12 or later, and Enlyo in any browser, with a desktop app for Apple-silicon and Intel Macs.

Is there a browser-based alternative to Nacsport? Yes: Enlyo runs entirely in the browser, tagging included, and you can start watching while the match uploads. Nacsport Hub has a simpler browser tagging window with up to 24 buttons, and dartfish.tv lets you set in and out points online.

Do players need a licence to watch? In Enlyo, no: any number of players watch free (on Free, viewing is capped at 50 GB a month). Elsewhere they watch through Nacsport Hub or its public links, Hudl.com, dartfish.tv, or exported files (LongoMatch, with Longocloud on Pro, and Kinovea).

Is Enlyo right for you?

Enlyo is your Nacsport alternative if:

  • you want the match online, open on any computer, with nothing to install or send;
  • you want any coach on the staff to tag it in one watch;
  • you'd rather talk a player through a clip than build a presentation;
  • you want every player to have seen it, on their phone, before training.
